Vicolo dell’Oro - Via delle Romite

Vicolo dell’Oro (Gold Alley) radiating from the Duomo Square, takes its name from the goldsmiths shops that used to side the street in medieval times.
From here you can walk down through an archway that connects to Via delle Romite.
This street takes its name from the cloistered nuns who had their monastery in this area before to get to the great nunnary of Santa Maria Maddalena of Sant’Agostino order.
The Tabernacle at the end of the street was ascribed to Pittorino.
